Patrick
Sullivan, co-founder and co-owner of Sullivan & LeShane, Inc. and
Sullivan & LeShane Public Relations, Inc., has been deeply involved in
Connecticut government and politics for two decades.
His
breadth of experience and successful track record, make Patrick the firm's
chief strategist and expert in crisis and strategic communications and
policy development.
An
active participant in issue analysis and strategic planning, Patrick takes
no time in assessing the situation, analyzing the impact and effectively
communicating our clients needs to legislative leaders, committee
chairpersons, state agency heads and through out the executive and
municipal levels of government. Patrick is relentless when it comes to
making sure our clients are being heard in the halls of state agencies,
the corridors of the Capitol and at local city halls.
Prior
to serving as Deputy Commissioner under Governor Thomas Meskill (R), he
learned fieldwork, polling and issue development while serving on the
national campaigns of several republican presidential candidates in
Connecticut and on the eastern seaboard. While serving as a key campaign
strategist and fund-raiser for U.S. Congresswoman Nancy L. Johnson (R),
U.S. Senator Joseph I. Lieberman (D) and Connecticut Governor John G.
Rowland (R) Patrick has developed a network of political allies, business
contacts and a feel for what makes the process work for our clients.
He
learned the art of lobbying while representing the Greater Hartford
Chamber of Commerce before becoming chief lobbyist for the Connecticut
Beer Wholesalers Association. In 1983, Patrick and his partner, Paddi
LeShane, founded Sullivan & LeShane, Inc. In 1988 Patrick, Paddi and
Gene Sheehan opened the doors to Sullivan & LeShane Public Relations
Inc, a crisis and strategic communications company specializing in
proactive media relations, issue management, image communications,
grassroots organization and public affairs.
Patrick’s
