Patricia
"Paddi" LeShane
Paddi's
strong leadership qualities and keen insights into the workings of the
Legislature and state government give Sullivan & LeShane clients the
edge. She works by the rule that there is no detail too small to attend to
and no challenge too large to accomplish. Her ability to translate complex
issues into strategic messages and to garner support among key
decision-makers has placed Paddi at the top of the Capitol's lobbying
corps. An
active player in Connecticut politics, Paddi has served as an instructor in
campaign finance and ethics at the Women’s Campaign School at Yale
University where she shares her insights and knowledge with women who are
considering running for office or who simply want to learn more about
campaigns. She has counseled many candidates, both republican and
democrat, who have gone on to seek – and win- elective office. She’s
helped to recruit young professionals to participate in elected politics;
worked in a variety of local and statewide political races – including
serving as a member of Senator Kevin Sullivan's (D-5th) campaign finance
committee and campaign advisor to Lt. Governor M. Jodi Rell (R) during her
successful primary race and three general election campaigns.
Recognized
as a leader who gets it done, Paddi has been honored by The Connecticut
Girls State Program, Women Executives in State Government, The National
Association of Women Business Owners, The University of Hartford, The
Hartford Business Journal and CT Women Magazine for her leadership,
professional accomplishments and efforts in motivating and empowering
others to do their best. A graduate of Springfield College with a Bachelors of Science degree in urban planning, Paddi earned her MBA in health care finance from RPI. Paddi is a frequent instructor in integrated public and governmental relations and successful state and municipal government initiatives for the Washington - based Public Affairs Council.
