Patrick Sullivan, co-founder and co-owner of Sullivan &
LeShane, Inc. and Sullivan & LeShane Public Relations, Inc., has been deeply involved in
Connecticut’s government and political scene for three decades. His breadth of experience and
successful track record make Patrick the firm's chief strategist and expert in crisis and
strategic communications and policy development.
Patrick began in the early 1970’s as the state’s youngest
Deputy Commissioner under Thomas Meskill (R). He learned fieldwork, polling and issue
development while serving on the national campaigns of Presidents Ford and Reagan. He also ran
four campaigns for former Congresswoman Nancy Johnson (R) who served as the Chairwoman of the House
sub-committee on the Health and Human Services of the Ways and Means Committee. Additionally,
Patrick has served as a key campaign strategist for Senator Joseph Lieberman and co-chaired the
transition team when he assumed his Senate duties.
An active participant in issue analysis and strategic planning,
Patrick works quickly to assess the situation, analyze the impact, and effectively
communicate our clients’ needs. He is relentless when it comes to making sure our clients are
heard in the halls of state agencies, the corridors of the Capitol and at local city halls.

A graduate of Fairfield University, Patrick enjoys coaching the
state AAU 17-year-old boys’ championship basketball team in his spare time.
